Changing Rocker Cover Gasket for RB20/25/26

E-mail Print PDF

This is a tutorial on how to change the rocker cover gasket of your RB powered engine. Before i proceed, please read this 200 times and stop bitchin' about it. Yes, the part number for the parts involved in the rocker cover changeout is INTERCHANGEABLE across all RB20,25,26. In short, the same parts can be used on RB20, RB25, RB26. Kapishe? The example we used in this tutorial is from a RB25DET series 1 engine. This tutorial is so easy that even my grandmother can do it with half eye open. Oh, and do this at your own risk please.

Tip: The difference between a series 1 and series 2 RB25DET is that the series 1 engine has got a ignitor pack at the end of the ornament plate (a.k.a coilpack cover.)

DIY NOS System in RB26DETT

RB26DETT Top Feed Injectors Into RB20DET

E-mail Print PDF

Shopping around for injectors you often see RB26DETT owners selling their 444cc injectors cheaply. I have seen them from as low as RM200 for a pack of 6 injectors. First thing, whilst this can make for a cheap injector upgrade, i would hope you spend the extra cash on getting the injectors cleaned and flow tested just to make sure the 2nd hand bargain doesnt turn into protracted suicide:)
